Bellewood Farms Will Be Hopping with Fun Activities Easter Weekend

Fun for all ages celebrating the arrival of spring will take place March 30-31 during Easter at the Farm at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery.

Photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny – great for sharing with family and friends – will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31. Both days also will include live music by Lynden-based Queen’s Bluegrass from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bellewood Farms is located at 6140 Guide Meridian, within seven miles of Bellingham, Ferndale and Lynden.

“Mt. Baker is looking as majestic as ever with our late snow, making a day in the country a wonderful time for families and couples to enjoy nature’s beauty,” said Eric Abel, president of Bellewood Farms. “And the buds are just starting to form on our apple trees.”

A Candy Pop-up Store, new this year, will feature a variety of sweets and gift baskets. Also, children can spin a wheel for prizes. Adults may prefer hard cider and farm-made spirits in the distillery’s tasting room. The Ten Mile Café will offer its full menu, plus made-from-scratch cider donuts.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
