There’s a killer on the loose in the city of subdued excitement, and there’s only one woman who can put an end to the madness- detective Lou Perkins. This August Western Summer Theatre in Bellingham presents a comedic murder mystery unlike anything you’ve seen before. “Bicycle Noir: A Love Story on Wheels” follows detective Perkins and her team as they follow the trail of clues August 16 through 20. Beginning at Café Velo (120 Prospect Street), join the detectives for a free two-hour bike ride through downtown Bellingham along the South Bay Trail to Boulevard Park and back on a thrilling hunt for the truth. “The play is very interactive with the audience. They get to go on the ride with us and solve the crimes with us, all while being able to laugh and have a great time,” said Aubrey Sage, who plays detective Lou Perkins. “You’re guaranteed to have a great time - even if you don't have a bike.” A new work commissioned by Seattle Repertory Theatre to Bryan Willis, a Pacific Northwest playwright, Western Washington University and Bellingham will be hosting the second performance of the show ever.
