Experience Local Fruit at Cloud Mountain Farm Center During Harvest Season

Cloud Mountain Farm Center in Everson WA is excited to announce four Fruit Tastings on the Farm this harvest season – August 1, August 22, September 19, and October 17 from 5:30-7:00 pm. They invite you to enjoy certified organic, locally produced, regionally adapted fruit varieties and share your feedback on flavor and taste profiles. The first three events will be all ages, and the final one will be a special 21+ event pairing locally produced cider and wine with our fruit.

Cloud Mountain grows over 150 varieties of fruit in their orchards and vineyards – but they’re not just a production farm. They’re also a non-profit education center and nursery, located on 20 acres at the foot of Sumas Mountain.

These tasting events will feature an array of Western Washington-grown peaches, table grapes, apples and pears, alongside some more unusual fruits such as aronia berries, black currants, and cornelian cherries. Each tasting event will feature different seasonal fruit based on what is ripe and ready to harvest. Try something new, learn about the origin stories of some of Cloud Mountain staff’s favorite fruit varietals, and plan for what you’ll one day plant in your own backyard.

These tasting events bring together good fruit and good people, all on a beautiful farm. Attendees can expect to leave the event with an expanded palate, new recipe ideas and home orchard inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for our food system and agricultural community.

Cloud Mountain’s mission is to share knowledge and resources that support a resilient, accessible, and equitable regional food system, and their programs include the Cloud Mountain nursery, their agricultural education pilot program, their infrastructure & aggregation facilities and partnerships, and exceptional fruit-growing and farm-skills workshops.
