Sustainable Connections, in partnership with Bellingham Whatcom Tourism, is excited to announce the launch of the new and improved Farm to Table Trails, a gamified pass that leads local food lovers to farms, restaurants, markets, and farmstays across Northwest Washington. These local businesses grow, produce, sell, and serve delicious foods. Foodies and friends can visit the unique places that put this region on the map – all while unlocking discounts, promotions, and prizes too. Participants check in at Farm to Table Trails locations to earn points to redeem for Eat Local First swag... and enjoy the reward of delicious food too, of course!
Locals and visitors to the region can explore eight self-guided trails. Cream of the Crop from Blaine to Custer highlights the delectable offerings from north Whatcom, while Eat Local Lynden helps folks discover the agricultural and culinary gems of lovely Lynden. Foodie Fun in Ferndale immerses travelers in the gourmet tastes, cheese shops, and seafood markets of Ferndale. Bites of Bellingham features local farms and restaurants within the city and includes fan favorites like the Bellingham Farmers Market as well as newer businesses like Raven Bakery’s recently opened brick and mortar location.
Eat, Drink & Stay in Everson invites foodies to explore the wonders of eastern Whatcom County, all enjoyed with majestic views of the Mt. Baker foothills. Participants might adventure across the bay by car or bike to embark on the Yummy Lummi Island trail, delighting in the treats and treasures of this beautiful island. Folks can travel down scenic Chuckanut Drive to try Treats in a Row from Edison to Bow. Finally, Food for You on Route 542 is a trail that takes foodies to explore the offerings on and near the Mt. Baker Highway.
