New Art Exhibit with Jill Feenstra at Chuckanut Brewery May 27 to July 15

Are you a fan of fine art? Then come on down to Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen (601 West Holly St) from May 27 to July 15 to view a new installation of work done by Jill Feenstra. The paintings and prints will surely be a treat to see and appreciate while you enjoy a cold glass or two of award-winning beer. Local artist Jill Feenstra creates art that tries to capture “life’s fleeting beauty and strength in fragility”. Her work’s inspiration ranges from people, animals, and automobiles, with her most recent explorations being more abstract. She continues to expand on her abilities and techniques tirelessly in her studio, on a small farm in Ferndale. With lots of light and color, her pieces capture a spirit full of interesting detail and energy. Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen located at 601 West Holly St, Bellingham was awarded the National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009 and National Small Brewery/Brewer of the Year 2011 at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF). The full service “Kitchen” serves from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm to guests of all ages with an eclectic fresh local menu. South Nut’s Tap Room is in the heart of Skagit Valley, 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington and welcomes guests of all ages.         We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
