Western Washington University is high on the Peace Corps’ list of volunteer-producing schools.
The Peace Corps released their 2019 rankings of the top volunteer-producing colleges and universities across the nation.
WWU landed at number 5 among medium-sized schools, with more than 30 alumni currently volunteering across the globe in countries like Ethiopia, Thailand and Fiji.
Since the Peace Corps was founded in 1961 under the Kennedy Administration, over 1,000 alumni have served abroad as volunteers.
