Pickford Film Center in Bellingham Presents Pixar Classics on the Big Screen for Just $7

Established in 1986 as the Graphics Group, a division of Lucasfilm, Pixar's early years were marked by groundbreaking advancements in computer graphics technology. With the release of the iconic Toy Story in 1995, the world witnessed the dawn of a new era in animation, as Pixar became the first studio to produce a feature-length film entirely using computer-generated imagery (CGI). Since then, Pixar has continued to push the boundaries of animation, crafting a diverse and celebrated portfolio of films that resonate with audiences years after their theatrical release.

Whether you’re revisiting old favorites or introducing the young people in your life to these films for the first time, the theatrical format is essential for appreciating what kind of visual craft PIXAR has to offer in their decades-long history as a studio.

Kid Pickford is Pickford Film Center’s long-running monthly, children’s film series.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
