Bellingham SeaFeast presents a SeaFeast Saturday Seafood Sale on Sept 19, 2020 and self-guided tours during Whatcom Water Week Sept. 12 - 19.
In honor of the original festival weekend, Bellingham SeaFeast invites you to enjoy the Bellingham waterfront with our seafood partners mid-day on Sept. 19 to celebrate with pre-purchased, to-go seafood options and delicious recipes to enjoy at home. Seafood will be available from Anthony’s Finn food truck (to-go meals!), Bornstein Seafoods, Pop Up Fish Shop from Trident Seafoods, and Drayton Harbor Oyster Company. Pre-sales will begin the week of September 8.
Additionally, in partnership with Whatcom Watersheds Information Network, Bellingham SeaFeast’s festival area “Explore Some More” can be experienced this year through a variety of virtual and self-guided opportunities during Water Week. Grab your virtual passport and check out the fun at https://www.whatcomwaterweeks.org/events.
Enjoy Squalicum Harbor with the Explore Some More activity, “Name the Boat in the Bay” presented by the Working Waterfront Coalition of Whatcom County. Start at the Fishermen's Memorial Statue at Zuanich Point Park to chat with a Coalition member and identify the types of commercial fishing boats during an outdoor harbor tour featuring seven interpretive signs. Contact Deb Granger for more information, admin@whatcomworkingwaterfront.org
Since 2016, Bellingham SeaFeast has celebrated our rich maritime culture and heritage, thriving working waterfront, enjoyment and conservation of our water resources, commercial fishing and seafood industries, and the culinary bounty of the Pacific Northwest. While we can’t gather together in person this year, we invite you to share the SeaFeast spirit with #SeaFeastSaturday on social media.
