Trails to Taps Relay Registration Now Open!

Whatcom Events is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 6th annual Trails to Taps Relay Sunday, October 13th.

Teams of 8 runners comprise this 8-leg relay run which highlights two of Bellingham’s best assets – breweries and trail running. Each leg of the 35-mile course utilizes local trails, parks and streets and then ends at a different brewery to transition to the next leg. Teammates meet each other at the Boundary Bay Beer Garden for an After Party from 1-4 pm to celebrate with their teammates. Each runner receives a complimentary pint glass and beer token to be redeemed for a pint from the brewery/cidery of their choice as part of registration. The event encourages costumes and features a Best Team Costume and Most Creative Baton Contest which will take place at the start line (Lake Padden) at 8:30 am. This relay is 21+ only but the After Party is all ages.

Boundary Bay Brewery, Stones Throw Brewery, Kulshan Brewing (Trackside), Wander Brewing, Stemma Brewing, Aslan Brewery, Bellingham Cider Co, and Lost Giants Cider Co. are all hosting transition points and providing libations.

The Beneficiary of the Relay for the 6th year is Lydia Place.  To date, our donation to Lydia Place for this event is $17,000.

Volunteer opportunities are available for this event, and anyone interested can email us at relay@trailstotapsrelay.com

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
