Camping and cabin reservations for Silver Lake Park in Whatcom County for 2021 will open to the public on December 1, 2020 at 9 a.m.

Silver Lake Camping (7)

Reservations for Group Camp at Silver Lake will remain closed due to current restrictions on group gatherings. Reservations for Lighthouse Marine Park will remain closed due to recreational travel restrictions at the US/Canadian border. Reservations for park facilities and shelters will also remain closed due to current restrictions on group gatherings.

Updates regarding Silver Lake Park Group Camp, Lighthouse Marine Park and facility/shelter reservation opening dates will be posted at http://www.co.whatcom.wa.us/1787/Parks-Recreation.

While we are hopeful these reservations will be open by early spring, it will depend on guidance from Federal, State and Local health authorities.

Special Event Permit Applications for 2021 will not be accepted at this time. Information regarding Special Event Permit applications can be found online at https://www.whatcomcounty.us/2645/Special-Events.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
